The major part of our body constitutes water and the fact is that more than two-thirds of our body weight is contributed by the water present in our body. Water is most important for the survival of every human being which helps for the smooth and effective functioning of the body systems. The blood in our body contains high content of water which is 83%, next comes muscles which contains 75% of water, brain contains 74% of water and bones have 22% of water content. The most important fact is that a person can survive without food for 4 to 8 weeks but the same person will die if he or she doesn’t drink water within 10 days. Lack of water content in the body due to any reason leads to many problems such as dehydration which in turn causes hurdles for the blood circulation. Water benefits us a lot and some of them include the following.

  • It is the most effective and natural solution for maintaining good health and beauty.
  • Water controls and maintains the body temperature and helps to transport all the nutrients to all parts of the body.

How much water should we drink?
The more water we drink, the more healthy and beautiful we look. Water is lost through sweat, breath, perspiration and other bowel movements. So to maintain the water content in the body we have to make a habit of drinking lot of water to restore the water that is lost through many processes. We have to drink at least eight ounce glasses of water a day to maintain good health. Try to consume foods that contain high content of water.
