Why exercise is so important?

As exercise is a physical activity, many researches and evidences have shown that if exercise is practiced regularly then it helps in the following ways.

  • Exercise helps in controlling diabetes by promoting the blood sugar levels which are healthy.
  • Regular exercise reduces the risk of heart diseases by increasing the good cholesterol levels and by decreasing high blood pressure.
  • The risk of cancer can be reduced by doing exercise regularly.
  • A healthy weight can be maintained when a balanced diet is maintained along with the exercise.
  • Depression can be prevented and self confidence can be boosted up by regular practice of exercise.

  • Flexibility exercises
  • Aerobic exercises

Strength training is an exercise program also called as resistance or weight training helps in building strong bones and muscles, decreases the risk of injury and increases the physical performance as well as appearance if it is done regularly. This type of exercise can be done at home easily by lifting up light weights, plastic tubes etc.

Flexibility exercise

Flexibility, a well-rounded fitness exercise is also called as stretching. It helps in keeping your joints flexible and it also reduces the chances of injury. When this stretching exercise is done for 5 to 10 minutes, it helps you to get ready for the other activities like walking and swimming.

Aerobic exercise is the physical activity, challenges the circulatory system and is rhythmic and
repetitive. This type of exercise helps to increase the flow of blood to the muscles and promotes cardiovascular fitness. These exercises are isotonic and dynamic and helps in maintaining the healthy heart.

It is advisable to practice exercise regularly as it not only maintains your health but also helps you in terms of beauty and makes you look more younger than what you are.
